The SCOUT COMPACT TD (Take-Down) is very similar in design to our APEX centerfire rifles, but without the interchangeable barrel capability. So, for the hunter who wants a high-quality single shot rifle in only one caliber, a SCOUT is the ideal choice. Sleek, lightweight, and easy to operate, the SCOUT sets a new standard for affordable single shot hunting rifles. The stocks are lightweight and 100% ambidextrous, plus they feature CVA's CrushZone Recoil pad. The COMPACT TD sports a 20" fluted barrel that is constructed of 416 grade stainless steel. The SCOUT COMPACT TD completely disassembles with no tools for easy storage and transport in its handy carry case. While it's a perfect deer rifle for the smaller stature hunter, it's also great for anyone as an easy-to-maneuver truck gun, or even as an emergency/survival rifle. All SCOUT rifles feature a genuine DuraSight® Dead-On one-piece scope mount as standard equipment.
